As head cutter, Sara worked closely with the designer, Anna Robbins, during the final two seasons of Downton Abbey creating a variety of bespoke patterns for all the principal characters, including the Dowager (Dame Maggie Smith), Lady Cora (Elizabeth McGowan), Lady Mary (Michelle Dochery) and Lady Edith (Laura Carmichael).

With nine episodes in one season, and new costumes for each character in every episode, there was a demanding workload for Sara to manage for herself and her team of two seamstresses and one trainee, whilst still maintaining the high standards that such a production demands.

Sara was also responsible for fitting principal actors, and training her team tailoring techniques.
