Starting off as principal costume maker assisting in the ladies principle workroom, Sara went on to lead her own small team, cutting bespoke patterns for men's principle costumes. She also cut and graded patterns for factory production lines, as well as completing technical samples for them to work off of.

A particular highlight was making the costumes for the slipper retinue, which involved working with beautiful gold silk and reels of gold metallic braiding, intricately pleated and stitched all over voluminous 18th century coats
